JOSEPH CERINO - President
Joe Cerino’s world travel and business industry experience provides him with the ability to work with a variety of clients
and business cultures. Joe brought his 16 years of experience within the golf industry and international and Caribbean golf travel to ultimately become founder and president of the
Sophisticated Golfer. Joe has taught and played golf worldwide and amassed an impressive display of international testimonials.
His professional background consists of years spent as a golf professional, corporate sales professional,
travel industry golf tour operator, and over three years experience working and living onboard luxury cruise ships.
A former college golf competitor and graduate of the University of Connecticut,
Joe has also lived abroad for over five years including time spent in Europe and the Caribbean. His position as President of the Sophisticated Golfer is the pinnacle of his illustrious career. cerino@sophisticatedgolfer.com
MARCELLO DEMICO - Managing Director
Marcello DeMico has over twenty five years experience in the European travel and hospitality industry. He brings his passion for
Caribbean, European, and world travel to his role as Tour and Managing Director of the Sophisticated Golfer.
His background consists of cruise industry and Caribbean/European travel customer service experience. Marcello is a former
hospitality business owner and cruise line chief officer. He has also represented the Connecticut based DeMico Travel Agency in various ownership and executive
positions for more than twenty five years. Marcello is an experienced world traveler with a keen eye for the vacation
details that forge lasting memories. He is well versed on providing total client satisfaction and professional efficient
